Jill, Keith and the Girls: the fast and the furious

So I told you guys in my last blog how Keith and I were looking forward to an adults only weekend. Well it finally came last weekend and it was awesome. I fun this last weekend than I have had in a long time. Fast cars, yummy food, warm weather, and great friends. What more could you ask for. It was so fun.

So now you are probably asking what could be so fun. Well about a month ago our friends Brian and Natalie invited to go to the Drag races at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Vegas. Keith used to go with his dad when he was a kid but hasn't been in a while and I have never been in my entire life. So we decided to go and it was awesome. I took over 100 pictures and a few videos. here are just a few to show how awesome of a weekend we had

Not only were there cool cars but the trailers that hauled them and carried all the equipment that was needed to make these cars race for the weekend was amazing. These trailers have all the cool gadgets and gizmos and tools and you name it they had it. I took this picture cause this car had the coolest paint scheme of all of the cars. Napa funny car.

We didn't get to see any nascar racing however they did have a few nascars there. Here is the #9 Budweiser car. Dale Earnhart JR used to be the driver of this car and he is Keith's favorite driver.

Below is Keith's all time favorite driver of all times. Richard Petty. Keith used to watch him when is was a wee lass. Richard Petty no longer driver but he will always be Keith's favorite.

Here is another nascar. The Geico car.

So far this car and its driver are the #1 in points in the NHRA poles Antron Brown. He didn't win this race that we went to but he had a pretty cool car and this is the only one that i got right next to.

His biggest sponsor is Matco Tools as you can see... he also had Directv logos on his car also.

here is a picture of my favorite car the whole weekend... this car was awesome and by the end of the weekend took the 1st place spot over Keith's favorite the Budweiser dragster. This driver of this car is Tony Schumacher. OH Yeah! and check out this pit... This is every husbands dream of what there garage should look like tools included.

more pictures these are mostly of the cars on the strip getting ready to head down the track ...these are the funny cars these cars on average would go anywhere from 225 to 280 mph in under 5 seconds. can you even imagine driving that fast.

these are the Top Fuel dragsters and these cars were averaging anywhere from 275 mph to the top speed that i remember seeing was like 315 MPH in under 4 seconds... 3.93 to be exact ... they are so fast and so loud but they are so awesome. I love it.

here is Brian and Natalie we went into Vegas Friday night and had dinner at the Luxor. I was very lucky this was my first time in Vegas down on the strip. I have driven through Vegas a number of times but have never been down on the strip. That was a real treat for me.
