Let the Summer Begin!!!

Well now that the school year has ended and summer is here. Well is supposed to be here. If this rain doesnt end i dont know what i am going to do. dont get me wrong i like the rain but a few days not a few weeks. n-e ways enough moaning and groaning on to bright and happier things.
For the past few years i have been telling Keith that i wanted to start a garden and we have put it off for the last couple of years ... well this year we made it happen ... in my last post i should you the starts ... well here are some pick of preparing the ground ... keep in mind this was done about 2 1/2 weeks ago.

here is Keith tilling the ground and keep in mind we have lived here for 8 years and this is the first time this ground has been tilled ...
what a hard worker
we borrowed a bobcat from Keith's work to help level out the ground and get rid of the weeds before we tilled

Erika really wanted to help ... she was having "LOADS"of fun with dad

In late May Emma and Erika both decided they wanted to graduate to bigger bikes... so Erika now rides this bikes with training wheel instead of her 3 wheel tricycle.

and Emma is now riding a bike without training wheels ... fun stuff ... they are growing so fast

For the end of the school year every year kindergarten gets to go to the zoo for the a
field trip... it is fun we get to go early enough that all the animals are awake and alert... fun stuff

Emma was also presented with an award in the month of may. It is called the Top Dog award ... this is presented to one student each quarter from each grade from each class ... so for her class she was nominated as the TOP DOG ... congrats Emma ...
Also we are sad to say but Madison has made her summer trek to Minnesota to stay with her Dad. We will miss her and look forward to her coming back At the End of July... Have fun Madison. See you soon.
More to come on the gardens success and the girls and the summer stay tuned.

I can't wait to see your garden! It looks like you have great soil. I am so proud of Emma for being the "Top Dog" in her class. Congrats! Love you guys!
